January is almost over...finally?
I don't know about you but I've been seeing the complaint of January feeling so long all over my internet in the past week.
I saw on Instagram someone had shared a post that said:
1 thing about January is that its going to make sure you feel all 31 of the days
And I really felt that. It does feel long especially when we're in the depths of winter in the Northern Hemisphere and feeling like that's a struggle. I have been hunkered down working on my podcast a lot and planning for my year and trying to stay cozy. I've been working on puzzles and reading in my free time.

Over the weekend I finished the newly released Onyx Storm book, the third in the Empyrean Series that includes Fourth Wing, and Iron Flame. If you read it and want to talk about it, let me know! I loved it.
I've also been baking a lot, I made sourdough cinnamon rolls last week and they were delicious! Here's the recipe if you're a sourdough girly like me and want to make them.
Sometimes I struggle to read books that are work related but I found a way to keep me accountable for this latest book I've been reading below. The author started a Pro-Choice Therapist book club and we'll be reading two chapters of this each month and discussing it. I started the reading today and wow! It feels so timely as we enter the second week of the current administration. The first chapter goes into the history of abortion and discusses how the rise of Christianity coincided with the witch trials in Europe as a means by which to control abortion access. Mind blown!
