Hey folks,
I continue to be reminded that fall is approaching (this weekend). We've had rain the past couple days but I'm enjoying the sun and the 70 degree F right now.
I'm excited for our Tarot Social Hour tonight at Township 20! Hope to see you there! I am also working on my tarot event for October so stay tuned.
As we move into autumn I am working on adjusting my habits along with the seasons. For me this means more rest generally, carving out an hour of time each night for getting ready for bed, heavier and warming foods the nourish my body, tea as needed especially when cold, and an earlier dinner time. As I talked about last week, what helps me embrace the change of the seasons is actually changing how I go about my day and having a different focus in the time of year as well.
I have been switching over my summer garden habits to fall as well as decorations. In the garden I start focusing on mulching, and setting up the yard for cooler weather. I moved the chickens fencing today so that they could work on another part of the yard. I used them to deal with the weeds that flourished this summer as they are great at ripping things up and pulling the morning glory away from the stems of my other plants. I am trying to be more mindful this year of how much the chickens tear up the ground in the winter with the softer and wet soil. I also spread chicken manure and woodchips on my pumpkin plants to try to give them a boost over the next month. I would say my squash tunnel in the backyard this year wasn't as productive as I had hoped. But now I have learned a little more and hope to have more success next year.
It's a great thing to look back at the ending season and take stock of what you did, how it went, and what you might keep or change for next year. This can apply to all aspects of your life and not just the garden. I am gearing up for what I have planned for this fall in my business, so get excited.
Maple leaves are changing color already

Next Let's Talk Tarot Event:
Tarot Social Hour on September 16th 6-8pm at Township 20
My Let's Talk Tarot event at Thresholds Collective in Tacoma happened three weeks ago and I had a lovely time! We talked about tarot, pulled tarot cards for our full moon spreads, reminisced about the nostalgia of collage, and collaged some of our own Tarot cards. Thanks to all who came!
My next Tarot event will be held at Township 20 in Sumner! This will be a tarot social hour at a local tap-house. They have lots of non-alcoholic options as well as food there.
Bring your favorite Tarot deck, discuss your latest Tarot readings, and connect with a community that celebrates the intuitive nature of Tarot practice. Let's Talk Tarot and embrace the power of divination together!
This event location has food and drinks available so you can plan to eat dinner during the event if you'd like. That's what I plan to do. There is a large parking lot across from the restaurant that has free parking. There is also parking available in the Trackside pizza parking lot.

Camille's Corner (of the internet) Happy Aries season! I have been doing all the things recently as I'm really feeling fueled by the Aries season fiery energy. I presented for Evergreen Hearts over the weekend in a talk titled Pagan and Polyamorous where I talked about the overlaps in the communities. I am planning to create a workbook with some of the content from my presentation as well as some exercises and resources for folks on this topic. Let me know if that's something you're...
Camille's Corner (of the internet) January is almost over...finally? I don't know about you but I've been seeing the complaint of January feeling so long all over my internet in the past week. I saw on Instagram someone had shared a post that said: 1 thing about January is that its going to make sure you feel all 31 of the days And I really felt that. It does feel long especially when we're in the depths of winter in the Northern Hemisphere and feeling like that's a struggle. I have been...
Camille's Corner (of the internet) Happy Full Moon in Cancer! I had a chill day yesterday as I usually am tired around the Full Moon time. As I've started to pay more attention to my energy levels around the full moon and new moon, I have been working on creating more downtime and space for myself during full moons since my energy is often sapped then. I usually get less sleep and find myself waking up more at night when the moon is out. I got to see her looking full Sunday evening with clear...
